Vakmensen geven de werkelijkheid opnieuw vorm met gereedschappen en technieken en creeeren daarbij ook nieuwe gereedschappen. Ik ontwikkelde drie gereedschappen om de werkelijkheid opnieuw vorm te geven. Dit zijn de System Constellation Play XL, System Constellation Play Small en het Perception Board.
De System Constellation Plays zijn sets van 'low-res' houten artefacten die we personages noemen. Deze personages stellen een organisatie, gemeenschap, groep of persoon voor. De personages worden geplaatst op een vlakke ondergrond zoals een vloer of een tafel. Door de doordachte plaatsing ontstaat een tweedimensionale constellatie van karakters. Deze constellatie is een overzicht van de posities van de actoren in het netwerk. Waarnemers van de opstelling zien de verschillende stadia vanuit alle perspectieven, wat het inzicht in de structuur van een multi-actoren netwerk verrijkt. The System Constellation Plays are sets of 'low-res' wooden artefacts we call characters. These characters represent an organisation, community, group or person. The characters are placed on a flat surface like a floor or table. The thoughtfull placement creates a two dimensional constellation of characters. This constellation is an overview on positions of the actors in the network. Observers of the constellation see the different stages from all perspectives which enrich the insights on the structure of a multi-actor network.
De System Constellation Play wordt gebruikt in de Satis-Action methode en wordt momenteel gemaakt in twee maten, XL en Small. De System Constellation Play XL wordt gebruikt voor User-journeys en Showcases tijdens workshops in grote ruimtes op de vloer. De System Constellation Play Small wordt gebruikt door professionals en coaches in bijeenkomsten met cliënten om situaties uit te leggen binnen een multi-actor netwerk.
Het Perception Board is een instrument met twee monitoren en personages uit het System Constellation Play Small. Op een horizontale monitor wordt een specifieke ondergrond gevisualiseerd en de personages worden door één professional op de horizontale monitor geplaatst. Hierdoor ontstaat een specifieke constellatie van de relevante actoren in het netwerk zoals waargenomen door de professional. Op een verticale monitor wordt dezelfde constellatie gevisualiseerd vanuit een landschapsaanzicht. De verschillende aanzichten bieden meer perspectieven op de constellatie en geven daardoor informatie voor de professional om een nauwkeuriger beeld te krijgen van de specifieke constellatie van de specifieke casus. The Perception board is an instrument with a horizontal and vertical placed monitor and characters from the System Constellation Play Small. On the horizontal monitor a specific underground is visualised. Characters are positioned by a single professional on the horizontal monitor. This creates a specific bird-eye view constellation of the relevant actors in the network as perceived by the profesional. On a vertical monitor the same constellation is visualised from a landscape view. The different views give more perspectives of the professional on the constellation and thereby gives information for the professional to create a more acurate perception on the specific case at hand.
Het Perception Board is gemaakt tijdens een studieproject in 2019 en geobserveerd door deskundigen en wetenschappers tijdens de Demodag van de Universiteit. De digitale demonstrator is niet getest in een bestaande casuistiek en nu ontmanteld. Het concept wordt wel analoog toegepast in verschillende workshops op ongetemde problemen.
